Family holiday at Hotel Roc Marbella Park

Our overall impression of the Hotel Roc Marbella Park is that it is a friendly hotel in beautiful grounds with very good facilities and an amazing animation t

eam, who were brilliant with children. There were four of us ranging in age from 6 to 60+ and we all had a good time. The hotel is clearly best suited to those travelling with children (pre-teen) as the main attraction, the water park, is buzzing all day long with kids enjoying the waterslides and pools and activities like aqua zumba taking place most days. The animation team really shone when it came to entertaining the children whether in the children's pool, miniclub or during the nightly kid's disco. The pool was open from 10 am until 7.30 and there is a policy of removing towels from sunbeds left unattended, though I think people found ways round it! Our rooms were very comfortable and clean. The air conditioning worked fine and we had a small balcony with a lovely view over the well cared for gardens. We all slept well for the week we were there. We all really enjoyed the food, which was very good and plentiful. We were all-inclusive and I was alarmed by some of the reviews I had read, but there was a huge choice every meal and there were always chefs cooking two or three different items, fish and meat, as well as as warm and cool buffet selections. There were themed nights (Spanish, Chinese, Mexican etc) and special dishes reflected this. Obviously, Spanish cuisine differs from UK cuisine and they have different tastes in certain foods; the 6 year old with us found the coco-pops were not to her liking! (But lots of other foods were). The pool bar was open all day and evening and the service was quick and courteous. The free hotel minibus took us to the local beach, which was beautiful, but it cost 14euros for a couple of sunbeds and a parasol. (Plenty of wiser people invested in their own umbrellas.) There was always a children's disco in the evening, which was really popular because the animation team were so good. There were also shows such as a Disney night and Flamenco dancers which were often very good, though they catered for differing tastes!

Children's disco at hotel
A children's disco every evening was a highlight!

We would definitely go back to Hotel Roc Marbella Park on another family holiday. It was just full of fun!
